Întrebat despre lista de așteptare pentru intervenții ortopedice, medicul a precizat: ”Încercăm să-i ajutăm cât de mult se poate, într-un maxim 2-3 luni de zile. Eu zic că suntem în media europeană, care se întinde către mai multe luni, peste 3-6”

Dr. Mihai Sabin Măgurean, medic primar ortopedie – traumatologie, a declarat că a observat în activitatea sa o creştere a numărului de pacienţi cu metastaze osoase, în corelaţie cu creşterea cancerelor în ansamblu.

Medicul a precizat: ”Mai puțin cancerul osos în sine pot să zici că e într-o creştere mai mare, vorbim mai ales de metastazele osoase. Da, ele sunt prezente, odată cu creşterea numărului de cancere a nivel global”

Medicul a explicat însă că partea bună a lucrurilor este că tratamentele posibile în clipa de faţă reduc foarte mult nevoia de chirurgie. Potrivit %source% ziaruldeiasi.ro, în chirurgia tumorală este necesară folosirea grefei de os.
