Oficial taiwanez: Transferul producției de semiconductori în SUA este imposibil

Transferul a 40% din capacitățile de producție de semiconductori ale Taiwanului către Statele Unite este considerat „imposibil”, conform unui oficial taiwanez responsabil cu negocierile legate de tarifele americane, informează AFP, preluat de Agerpres. Taiwanul rămâne un lider global în producția de semiconductori, esențiali pentru economia mondială, însă Casa Albă își dorește o parte mai mare din această tehnologie produsă pe teritoriul american.

În cadrul unui acord semnat luna trecută, Washingtonul a convenit să reducă tarifele pentru produsele taiwaneze de la 20% la 15%, în schimbul unei creșteri a investițiilor din Taiwan în SUA. Howard Lutnick, secretarul american pentru Comerț, a declarat că își propune transferul a până la 40% din lanțul de aprovizionare și producția de semiconductori din Taiwan în Statele Unite, avertizând că tarifele vamale ar putea crește dacă acest deziderat nu se realizează.

În septembrie 2025, Lutnick a afirmat că producția de cipuri a Taiwanului ar urma să fie împărțită în mod egal, 50-50, cu SUA, dar această propunere a stârnit controverse.

Vicepremierul taiwanez și negociatorul-șef, Cheng Li-chiun, a declarat într-un interviu recent că a comunicat clar Washingtonului că Taiwanul nu va transfera producția de semiconductori. „Indiferent dacă este vorba de transferul a 40 sau 50% din capacitatea de producție către Statele Unite, am precizat foarte clar părții americane că acest lucru este imposibil,” a subliniat Cheng Li-chiun.

Cheng a explicat că ecosistemul semiconductorilor din Taiwan este comparabil cu un aisberg, cu o parte ascunsă „enormă”. „Un ecosistem industrial construit de-a lungul decadelor nu poate fi transferat”, a adăugat vicepremierul.
