Potrivit 404media.co, o nouă aplicație dezvoltată de un pasionat al tehnologiei avertizează utilizatorii dacă persoanele din apropiere ar putea purta ochelari smart, precum ochelarii Ray-Ban de la Meta, care au fost folosiți repetat de către hărțuitori pentru a filma oamenii fără știrea sau consimțământul lor. Aplicația scanează semnăturile Bluetooth distinctive ale ochelarilor smart și trimite o alertă de notificare dacă detectează o pereche posibilă de ochelari în zona locală.

Aplicația apare pe fondul în care companii precum Meta continuă să adauge funcții alimentate de inteligență artificială (IA) la ochelarii lor. La începutul acestei luni, The New York Times a raportat că Meta lucrează la integrarea recunoașterii faciale în ochelarii săi smart. Funcția, numită „Name Tag”, ar permite purtătorilor de ochelari smart să identifice persoanele și să obțină informații despre acestea de la asistentul virtual IA al Meta, conform raportului.
